Generation 3
Johann Benjamin FUHRMANN, master-cabinettmaker was born on 17 August 1782 in Grossdorf near Birnbaum, Prov.Posen, Poland (it became Prussia in 1792 ), son of Jacob Gottlieb Fuhrmann, master-furrier and his wife Anna Maria Litt (widow of the furrier Braemer from Grossdorf)
He learned his profession in Birnbaum and was then a journeyman as it was usual in that time. So he came to Obornik (Obornicki) and was employed by the cabinettmaker Johann Daniel Peterson, his later father in law. There he met his daughter and was married to Anna Louisa Peterson, daughter of Johann Daniel Peterson and his wife Maria Elisabeth Stegmann abt.1814 in Obornik. Exact date are not possible, because the churchrecords of Obornik are very poor and have many gaps. From 1806 till 1818 only the alphabetic register is kept and from 1820 till 1841 is a total gap. For the time from 1814 till 1817 are 2 Fuhrmann-children marked in the birthregister but they are also marked in the deathregister.
So Gottlieb Samuel is the only child we know and we do not know how many children are born between 1820 and 1841 or if some siblings are married in Obornik or died.
